In a powerful and resolute response to the recent Pahalgam terror tragedy that claimed 26 innocent lives, India has launched ‘Operation Sindoor’—a carefully executed military operation targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
The Ministry of Defence confirmed the development early Wednesday, stating that the Indian Armed Forces had carried out precise, calculated strikes against terrorist infrastructure believed to be behind the planning and execution of attacks on Indian soil.
“These actions are focused, restrained, and non-escalatory,” read the official statement. “No Pakistani military assets were targeted. We have exercised significant restraint in both the selection of targets and our methods.”
The operation comes in the wake of national grief and outrage after the brutal Pahalgam attack, which left 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen dead. The government had vowed that those behind the barbarity would not escape justice—and today, that promise has been honored.
This wasn’t an act of war, but a clear message: India will not tolerate terrorism. By choosing to strike terror hubs and not military installations, India reaffirmed its commitment to justice—not vengeance.
“Justice is served. Jai Hind!” the Indian Army posted on X (formerly Twitter), echoing the emotions of millions across the nation. In an earlier post, they had stated in Sanskrit, “प्रहाराय सन्निहिताः, जयाय प्रशिक्षिताः” — Ready to strike, trained to win.
A detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor is expected later today, as the country continues to stand united in grief, resolve, and pride.
