In a move to support a powerful gathering of unity, Rapid KL has announced extended train services tonight to accommodate the massive turnout expected at the “Himpunan Solidariti Bersama Gaza” rally at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
The Bukit Jalil LRT station, which directly serves the venue, will stay open until 12:30 AM, with additional trains deployed to manage the anticipated high volume of passengers.
To ensure smooth onward journeys, several major interchange stations — including those on the Kelana Jaya, Ampang/Sri Petaling, Monorail, Kajang, and Putrajaya lines — will also operate later than usual. While other stations will follow their normal closing times, passengers will still be allowed to disembark at those locations after the event.
Commuters are strongly advised to use Touch ‘n Go cards or purchase return tokens in advance to avoid long queues after the rally. For real-time updates, passengers can follow Rapid KL’s social media platforms or use the PULSE app.
Tonight’s rally is more than a show of support; it is a unifying call from Malaysians for justice, peace, and humanity. The event is aimed at demonstrating unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and their decades-long struggle for freedom.
Among those expected to attend is Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who urged the public to join in not only to support Palestine, but also to honor Malaysian activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission — who courageously sailed to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
“Let us come together in one voice, shoulder to shoulder, to demand freedom, dignity, and sovereignty for Palestine,” said the Prime Minister in a heartfelt message.
At its heart, this isn’t just a rally — it’s a collective human expression of empathy, resistance, and the undying belief that justice must prevail. From all corners of Malaysia, people are showing up, not just in presence, but in spirit, to say: You are not alone, Gaza.
