A devastating fire struck a vehicle workshop along the Bukit Jalil Highway in Bandar Puchong Jaya on Saturday morning, leaving behind significant damage. The blaze consumed 20 cars and three motorcycles, but fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The fire broke out around 10:56 AM, prompting a swift response from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM). A team of 21 firefighters from Puchong, Subang Jaya, Seri Kembangan, and Damansara fire stations rushed to the scene. By 11:04 AM, they had arrived and immediately began working to contain the fire.
Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, Assistant Director of Operations at JBPM, shared that the fire severely impacted about 70% of the workshop’s structure. The building, which had been used for vehicle and motorcycle repairs, was almost completely destroyed.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, the damage to the property is extensive, and the community is left reflecting on the scale of the destruction. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, though the loss of vehicles and property is a heartbreaking blow to those who depended on the workshop.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into what caused this unexpected tragedy.
