Iran Engages in Talks With Saudi Arabia, Egypt on Gaza Crisis

TEHRAN, March 23 – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held discussions with his Saudi Arabian and Egyptian counterparts on Saturday, focusing on Israel’s renewed attacks on Gaza and the escalating crisis in the region.

Regional Diplomacy in Motion

During a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Araghchi strongly condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza and urged regional powers to take collective action against the aggression, according to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

In response, Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of Israeli attacks and stressed the importance of regional coordination to prevent further escalation.

Iran-Egypt Dialogue on Gaza Aid

In a separate call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Araghchi criticized Israel’s renewed military offensive and accused it of blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza, calling it a “flagrant violation” of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Egypt’s foreign minister emphasized the urgency of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and ensure humanitarian relief reaches the Palestinian enclave.

Ongoing Consultations

Both Egyptian and Iranian officials agreed to continue consultations on regional developments, highlighting the growing diplomatic engagement to address the crisis.
