The Iranian Health Ministry has reported that at least 14 people were killed and 78 others were injured following military strikes by the United States on Iranian territory.
According to Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour, the attacks took place on July 8 and July 9, 2026, while a ceasefire was reportedly in effect. He stated that five provinces across Iran were targeted during the operation.
Kermanpour shared the update through the social media platform X, saying that the attacks have so far claimed the lives of 14 people and left 78 others injured.
He also provided an update on the condition of those wounded, noting that 47 people remain hospitalized and are continuing to receive medical treatment, while the remaining injured individuals have been discharged after receiving the necessary care.
The reported strikes have further heightened concerns over regional stability, as international observers continue to monitor developments and assess the humanitarian impact of the conflict. Authorities are expected to release additional information as investigations and emergency response efforts continue.
The situation remains fluid, and the international community continues to watch closely for any further escalation in tensions across the region.
