The Netherlands will become the host nation for an International Claims Commission for Ukraine, a significant step toward documenting and validating the immense damage caused by the war. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel.
According to the minister, the commission’s primary role will be to formally assess and establish claims related to war damages suffered by Ukraine. These claims are intended to be addressed at a later stage, with the expectation that Russia would eventually be held financially responsible.
