‘Fly It Proudly’: Fahmi Urges Malaysians to Display Jalur Gemilang for Unity and Patriotism

MUAR, July 27 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has urged Malaysians to unite under the ‘1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang’ campaign by proudly displaying the national flag during the National Month. As Chairman of the Main Committee for National Day and Malaysia Day 2025, Fahmi encouraged citizens to fly the Jalur Gemilang at homes, offices, vehicles, schools, and businesses as a strong symbol of patriotism.

Speaking at the launch of the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2025 campaign at Dataran Tanjung Emas, officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Fahmi highlighted the importance of appreciating independence and the nation’s historical journey.

He emphasized that the National Month is not just a celebration, but a shared responsibility to honour sacrifices and strengthen national unity. Fahmi also reminded Malaysians that the Federal Constitution has been the foundation of peace and harmony for over six decades.

Also present were Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Chief Secretary Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and Information Department director-general Julina Johan. — Bernama
