Indian Ambassador Meets Chinese Vice Foreign Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Beijing, April 11 – In a positive step toward enhancing cooperation, Indian Ambassador to China, Pradeep Kumar Rawat, met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong on April 9 to discuss the state of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The conversation, which took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, focused on the mutual desire to improve and expand cooperation across various fields. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to working together and implementing the important agreements made by their leaders to ensure the development of China-India relations remains on a healthy and stable trajectory.

The relationship between India and China, which had been strained for several years following the military standoff in Eastern Ladakh, has seen signs of improvement since a key meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kazan, Russia last October.

This recent engagement marks the continuation of a series of high-level meetings aimed at normalizing ties and overcoming past challenges. The mutual understanding and dialogue between both countries reflect a collective desire for peace, stability, and deeper collaboration.

As India and China work to move forward, the emphasis is on creating a relationship based on trust, respect, and shared prosperity for both nations.
