The Asian Business Golf Championship (ABGC) is officially set to begin on June 11, 2026, with a vision to position Malaysia as a leading destination for corporate golf and business networking across Asia.
Designed as a multi-state sporting event, the championship will feature seven qualifying rounds hosted between June and October across Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Perak. The competition is expected to bring together business leaders, corporate players, and golf enthusiasts in a format that blends sport with high-level networking opportunities.
The final and most anticipated round will take place at the prestigious Els Club Teluk Datai in Langkawi from October 11 to October 14, marking the grand conclusion of the tournament.
The ABGC is a fully Malaysian-initiated platform held under the royal patronage of the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah. The official launch took place at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, where Tengku Amir Shah expressed strong optimism about the championship’s future growth and regional impact.
He highlighted Malaysia’s strong golf infrastructure and vibrant business ecosystem, emphasizing how golf continues to serve as a powerful bridge between commerce and community.
“Malaysia has a wonderful array of golf clubs and business tournaments and we have a thriving business community in the region,” he said during the launch. “Golf is a great catalyst in bringing these two communities together — the spirit of competition and the spirit of business. So, I hope to see that in future, the ABGC will be hosted not just in Malaysia but throughout other regions in Asia.”
Organised by Elora Global, the inaugural edition will also see Selangor-based property developer Kueen Lai Group of Companies stepping in as the title sponsor, further strengthening corporate support behind the championship.
With its blend of sport, business networking, and international ambition, ABGC 2026 is expected to become more than just a tournament—it is shaping up to be a platform where deals, relationships, and regional opportunities are formed on and off the course.
In a world where business connections often define success, ABGC is a reminder that some of the most meaningful conversations still happen away from boardrooms, under open skies, one swing at a time.
