Lydie Murorunkwere is a Rwandan executive and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience across governance, finance, and investment structuring. Her work reflects a commitment to strengthening institutions and building practical frameworks that support sustainable economic activity in Africa.

As the Founder and Managing Director of ML Corporate Services Ltd (MLCS), and the Chairperson of the Rwanda Trust and Corporate Service Providers Association (RTCA), Murorunkwere works alongside industry peers and regulators to support the professionalisation of fiduciary and corporate services in Rwanda. Her efforts align with Rwanda’s broader ambition to position itself as a credible and well-governed jurisdiction for investment structuring on the continent.

A Professional Journey Rooted in Experience

Murorunkwere’s career spans leadership roles in institutional banking, public administration, and the non-profit sector. She holds an academic background in economics and international management and has built her perspective through both local and international exposure.

Her approach emphasises context-driven African solutions informed by global best practices, rather than one-size-fits-all models. Under her leadership, MLCS provides corporate, governance, compliance, and structuring services to businesses, investors, and families seeking clarity and long-term sustainability.

Advancing Collaboration and Sector Standards

Through her role at RTCA, Murorunkwere contributes to collective efforts aimed at improving professional standards, dialogue with regulators, and industry cohesion. This collaborative approach supports Rwanda’s evolving financial ecosystem and encourages responsible, well-structured capital flows into the region.

Leadership Beyond the Boardroom

In addition to her professional work, Murorunkwere is involved in mentorship and community-focused initiatives. She is a long-standing member of Rotary International and frequently engages in conversations around leadership, resilience, and values-driven decision-making, drawing from her own lived experiences and challenges.

A Forward-Looking Vision

For Murorunkwere, Kigali represents both a home base and a platform. From Rwanda, she continues to participate in building pathways that enable African entrepreneurs, investors, and institutions to grow responsibly—through sound governance, collaboration, and long-term thinking.
