Over 450 Teachers and Staff Promoted in Kashmir Division – A Step Forward in Empowering Education

Srinagar, August 30: In a move that brings hope and recognition to hundreds of dedicated educators and support staff, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has promoted 458 teaching and non-teaching personnel in the Kashmir division.

This heartfelt announcement was made by Sakina Itoo, Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, who emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to uplift the education sector through timely recognition of its workforce.

“I am pleased to share the elevation of 458 teaching and non-teaching personnel from the Kashmir division to the next higher level. This is part of our consistent efforts to streamline and strengthen our education system,” said Sakina Itoo in a public statement issued on Saturday.

While the official promotion orders are expected to be released shortly, the news has already sparked a wave of celebration and appreciation across educational circles. These promotions not only mark a professional achievement for the individuals involved but also serve as a morale booster for the entire education community.

“Orders will follow shortly. I extend my best wishes to all of them,” the Minister added, underlining her appreciation for their dedication and service.

This promotion drive is seen as a significant milestone in addressing long-pending issues related to career advancement and job satisfaction in the education sector — a sector often considered the backbone of societal growth and transformation.

As Kashmir continues its journey toward academic excellence, such initiatives highlight the value of every individual who contributes — whether inside the classroom or behind the scenes — toward shaping young minds and a brighter future.
